As a fellow with the Central Office Urban Design Division at the NYC Department of City Planning, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging from an illustrative guide to the later adopted City of Yes for Housing Opportunity zoning amendments, support GIS analysis and urban realm design for the Jamaica Neighborhood Plan, and work on developing the RhinoCommon custom plugin used by urban designers when modelling development scenarios for rezonings. During my time, I strengthened my skills in graphic design layout and content development for public facing materials, learned how to interface with different city agencies and departments within City Planning, and furthered my communication and design capabilities.
